By Becca Ingram · May 11, 2026

Known for its cutting-edge programming, it highlights both emerging artists and established international acts across indie rock and electronic music.

Since 2006, the festival has presented two annual editions: the “Winter Collection” in February and the “Summer Collection” in August. The event takes place across several venues in Saint-Malo, including the Fort de Saint-Père and La Nouvelle Vague, gathering a loyal and passionate audience of music lovers.

Under the direction of François Floret since 1998, La Route du Rock has maintained a strong editorial line focused on independent, alternative and forward-thinking music. The festival is also known for its intimate atmosphere and close connection between artists and audience, making it a key meeting point for international indie culture.
